Founder Tomikichi Konya establishes Teikoku Cutter Works in Osaka City.

Reorganized as a joint-stock company and established as Japan Tool Works, Ltd. with its head office in Osaka City.

Absorbed Kokusan Tool Research Institute, Inc.

Acquired the operation suite of Aichi Precision Tool Manufacturing Inc.

Merged with Hitachi Cemented Carbide Corporation (capital: 600 million yen), producing capital of 1,260 million yen.
The name of the company was changed to Hitachi Tool Engineering, Ltd. and the head office was moved to Koto-ku in Tokyo.

December 1989

Issued the first issuance of 3,500 million yen of convertible bonds with physical collateral.

April 1993

Established Sun Tool Tech Corporation, Chubu Nichiwa Shoji Corporation, and Kyushu Sun Tool Inc.

November 1993

Established the new Yasu Plant (Shiga Prefecture) and started operations.

October 1994

Established Osaka Sun Tool Corporation.

December 1994

Consolidated and relocated the Moka Plant (Tochigi Prefecture) to the Yasu Plant (Siga Prefecture).

August 1996

With the completion of the third phase of construction of the Yasu Plant, consolidation of end mill manufacturing occurred and the Osaka Plant was renamed the BC Center.

October 1997

Uozu Cordage Co. Ltd. (capital: 203 million yen, Uozu Plant), Yoneda Tool Works, Ltd. (capital: 50 million yen), and Kyushu Yoneda Corporation (capital: 20 million yen, Nakatsu Plant), which were all drill manufacturers, were merged into a single company with capital of 1,455 million yen.

October 1999

Nichiwa Shoji Co., Ltd., merged from the three companies of Chubu Nichiwa Shoji Co., Ltd., Osaka Suntool Co. and Kyushu Suntool Co. Ltd.

September 2000

Listed in the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and Osaka Securities Exchange.

September 2000

Nichiwa Shoji Co., Ltd. merged with Sun Tool Tech Corporation, and the name was changed to Tool Tech Corporation.

August 2002

BC Center (Osaka City) consolidated and relocated to the Yasu Plant.
Drill production has been consolidated to the Uozu Plant (Toyama Prefecture) and the Nakatsu Plant (Oita Prefecture) was renamed the Nakatsu T-Center.

February 2005

Established the foreign subsidiary of Hitachi Blades LLC in China (Shanghai).

January 2008

Absorption merger of Tool Tech Corporation.

March 2009

Established the Basic Technology Research Center and the Matsue Surface Improvement Center (Shimane Prefecture).
Consolidation and relocation of Nakatsu T-Center (Oita Prefecture) to Narita Plant (Chiba).

Consolidation and relocation of the Uozu Plant (Toyama Prefecture) to the Yasu Plant (Shiga Prefecture).

Established “MOLDINO” as a new brand.

Became a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Materials Corporation and the name was changed to MOLDINO Tool Engineering, Ltd.
